I am into free! Take a look at what Bill Clinton has offered to all of
us (certainly not endorsing or approving his presidency - take it
however you like). Some of the material is limited to DOD, other
information is very useful to the educational arena. Prior to my
current position, have personally used the tools teaching security for
years.

| Subject: security training on CDs
|
| Hi:
| I'm not an IT security professional but am heavily involved in the
| Information Security Awareness Program at the University of Notre Dame.
| I've been asked to locate security training options for various IT staff
| across campus. I've got lots of information about SANS programs and a
| few other programs that host training sessions, but I'm expanding my
| search into training on CDs.
|
| Does anyone know of security training on CDs that they could recommend?
| I've been doing web searches and there are dozens, if not hundreds, of
| options out there. We are looking for training for system
| administrators in operating system security and server security, for
| network administrators in network security, and for database
| administrators. We don't necessarily expect to find all this on CDs but
| thought it might be an option for the more basic areas.
|
| Thanks a lot. If you feel that what's available on CDs isn't worth
| anything, please tell me that too.
