How many segments?
Transparent or routed?

If you have a lot of feature requirements,
and multiple segments... probably easier to
manage if you do routed.

(We're doing it the other way, and it
ain't much fun.)

If you network is ultra-simple, then
transparent is ok.  But you lose some
capabilities, as you would expect, when
you run in transparent.
