Hi everyone, In preparation for some potential policy development, we would like to take an informal poll. Whose institutions require clients to use encrypted protocols for applications which rely on central authentication (i.e., POP/IMAP over SSL, SSH, SSL for web page authentication)?
With the exception of a few legacy systems, that's the policy here at Canisius. Those legacy systems are generally walled off from the campus network at large, so that they are only accessible from a small number of machines that _do_ require encrypted authentication. --Matt -- Matt Gracie (716) 888-2403 Information Security Administrator graciem () canisius edu Canisius College ITS 425531N / 0785109W http://www2.canisius.edu/~graciem/graciem_public_key.gpg
