We require that they complete a form on an annual basis, so we use the forms to manage and identify the accounts. Depending on what they have access to, our Risk Management office may have to give prior approval, as Risk Management reviews to see if the contract covers the risks associated with the access. If the account is for an individual, it looks like any other account. Theresa ---- Original message ----

and Consultants
To: SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU We have several companies that are contracted to work for the University in different aspects, such as Dining Services. How do you set up user accounts for these contractors in order to use the resources provided by the University community? We have a specific format that we use for creating user accounts and we wanted to see if other Universities have a different format for these contractors to differentiate them from other accounts and so as not to conflict with every day user accounts. Thanks. Kerry Fretz Manager, Network & Systems Philadelphia University
