Job Posting: PeopleSoft Administrator or Developer (Information Security Analyst)

The University of Texas at Arlington is looking for an experienced
PeopleSoft administrator or developer to join our current PeopleSoft
implementation team. This position will report to the Information
Security Officer and is a part of Information Security Services and will
be primarily focused on PeopleSoft security and access control. Please

Basic Information 
Date available: Immediately 
Position duration: Funding expected to continue 
Hours per week 40.00, Flexible from 600AM to 1000PM; Only eight hours
will be required on a daily basis. Specific time frame will be
dynamically determined by supervisor to ensure functions provided by
this position are available when required. Normal working conditions
apply but sometimes it is necessary to work long hours when the schedule
demands. Irregular work hours can exist during emergencies or holidays.

Required Qualifications 
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field. Two years
experience in networks, databases, security, web development or other
related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and
experience may be substituted as appropriate. 

Preferred Qualifications 
Experience with PeopleSoft Security, Student Administration, and
Enterprise Portal. Certification related to the duties and
responsibilities specified, including but not limited to CNA, CCNA,
CISA, CISSP, MCSE, SSCP, and SANS GIAC. Working, hands on experience
with at least one of the following, but not limited to Cisco Pix,
TippingPoint, Snort or Sourcefire, Oracle, Peoplesoft, MySQL, SQL, LDAP,
Kerberos, Active Directory, Apache, IIS, Nessus, Sendmail, SMTP, SNMP,
Perl, Unix Shell, C, C++, PHP, or Java.


Purpose of This Position 
To develop, monitor and enforce practices to ensure that UTA's resources
and information are secure from unauthorized access, protected from
inappropriate alteration, physically secure, and available to users in a
timely fashion. 

Essential Functions 
Assist in development, implementation, monitoring of PeopleSoft
Security, Student Administration, and Enterprise Portal. Assist the
security team in support of information security projects and
requirements. Assist in the development, implementation, and updating of
security policies and procedures. Support the handling, reporting,
recording and resolution of campus wide security incidents. Assist in
the development, implementation, and monitoring of access control, data
confidentiality, system integrity, system reliability, system audit and
recovery methods and procedures. Provide technical support for security
projects. Support of security equipment to ensure proper operation,
including but not limited to installation and upgrades. Support the
development and implementation of security awareness training programs.
Interface with OIT and non-OIT personnel to resolve security related
issues. 

Marginal/incidental Functions 
Other related functions as assigned. 

Security Sensitive; criminal background check conducted.
