Email for retired faculty

At NDSU we offer email services for emeritus faculty. If some of you do this, I am wondering how you fit this group into your email policy. Do you mention them specifically along with other groups or just include them in the general population? Currently, we are including them within our general population, but lately some concerns have surfaced. I am curious as to what other universities are doing. Thank you.
