Brief background: In December 2002, Acacia filed suit against a number of Adult websites claiming infringement to their streaming digital video patents (see http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,767313,00.asp) Here are a couple of online news report about Acacia and their claims: http://biz.yahoo.com/ibd/040730/tech01_1.html, and http://www.mediapost.com/PrintFriend.cfm?articleId=261685 An organization called Streaming Media, Inc. even has a series of webpages dedicated to the Acacia lawsuit/patent claims.
