Question to the memory corruption historians

Hi, I have recently been wondering who was the first demonstrate the exploitability of dangling pointers (or use-after-frees, if you want to call them that) in the sense of hijacking the execution flow of a program. Was it Jonathan Afek with his BlackHat 2007 talk or is there any prior work known? Cheers, Ralf _______________________________________________ Dailydave mailing list Dailydave () lists immunityinc com https://lists.immunityinc.com/mailman/listinfo/dailydave
