"For years, security experts have debated the concept of using good worms to seek and destroy malicious worms. Some believe that it's time to use the worms' tactics against them <http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,1037004,00.asp> and build good worms that fix problems but the chaos and confusion associated with self-propelled replicating programs have left others unconvinced.
"

Larry Seltzer also has something to say about them.

"There's no arguing with much of the presentation. Organizations need to secure the systems on their network and it's a hard thing to do. Large networks aren't documented or organized well enough. Many tools are too slow-moving. Incidentally, Aitel is basically talking here about closed, controlled networks such as in corporations, but at one point the presentation uses ISP networks as an example that could benefit from this approach."
