I agree with the sentient opponents, but are the clueless operators
actually a requirement, or just a nice to have and/or often have?

Also, many products have sentient opponents, but don't security products
necessarily attempt to deter those opponents, while many/most/all
non-security products merely ignore the problem?

(not that the marketing folks immediately
capitulated or anything):
