definition of security product

In a discussion with marketeers and the like,
over whether a such and such a product was a
_security_ product, I came to this definition
(not that the marketing folks immediately
capitulated or anything):

If a product has sentient opponents rather than
alpha particles and clueless operators, then it
is a security product.
