A fallacy known as the "geographic cure".  I personally know close to a
hundred people employed in the computer technology field in Montana.  A
very, very tiny fraction of the total.

You go on to describe how you have not gotten really good at any one
thing yet.  Well, you won't be becoming expert at anything during the
months of disruption while you move.

OTOH, moving can provide the motivation to get out of a rut.  But as an
entailment of the "cure" one eventually needs to learn how to get out of
the rut without having to move.
