Funny win98 behaviour

Hi,

I don't know if this is a know "feature" of Win98, if it exists in other
windows version, or if it is important. I just discovered that the
following works:

C:\>cd windows\win.ini\..
C:\WINDOWS>

or even:

C:\>cd idonotexist\..
C:\>

It looks like Win98 applies the "\.." before even looking to the directory
structure...
