Hey kids. I've been away for awhile -- unexpected personal matters that had to be taken care of -- I return and see that the list I created (and to some extent moderate) has turned into nothing but net.noise with the discussion of late being nothing to do with the charter for this list. Just as a refresher: This list is for *detailed* discussion of UNIX security holes: what they are, how to exploit, and what to do to fix them. This list is not intended to be about cracking systems or exploiting their vulnerabilities. It is about defining, recognizing, and preventing use of security holes and risks. Copyrighted Source code (without the consent of the owner), passwords, credit card numbers or anything else illegal in nature is against the charter of this list and if continued will force this list to become moderated or digestified. I really don't want to start moderating each message being sent to the bugtraq reflector but if the current noise traffic continues I will be forced to take some action. I will however be keeping a better watch on what does pass through the list and giving more of my input as to what this list should produce and how it should produce. Please be considerate to the 2,000 other members of Bugtraq and keep your input related to discussion only on UNIX security holes and flaws. --S chasin () crimelab com "Our fans in England are crazy.
