I whole heartedly agree with Mustafa. I could have not said any better. Although, I will say I am a fan of the eLearning and Backtrack camps (specifically). Some are doing good like eLearnSecurity but some are only playing tricks. They do make a security news website, spend weeks in promoting on social networks and forums and then introduce their own ninja PenTest courses. Be aware of them. I would recommend you to go for no one else but SANS or OffenSive Security. They are the leaders. OSCP is highly fine grained course. Do spend your money on worthy stuff. And don't go for EC-Council stuff. EC-Council certs aren't worthy enough from practical skills perspective. Offensive Security certs do return you a lot more hands on skills then EC-Council. If you want to just shine before the HR and Recruiting People then CEH is a good shot but it doesn't return anything worthy for the cost.
