I studied using the SANS On Demand course and as you would expect, it is tailor made for that course as every question
comes directly from the material, almost verbatim.

When you purchase the exam, it may come with practice exams. I highly recommend these above all else. It is the same
format and timeframe as the GSEC. If you do well on those, you will do well on the final exam. The practice exam and
final exam are all from the same application. I know the On Demand is pricey but if you can at least secure the
official GIAC practice tests you will have a VERY valuable resource.

Good Luck!

Subject: howto self study for GSEC GIAC Security Essential Certification?

Hi folks

I wish to take the GSEC exam. Howto prepare for that? Any hints? I
bought the book "GSEC GIAC Security Essential Certification Exam
Preparation Course in a Book for Passing the GSEC Certified Exam - The
How To Pass on Your First Try Certification Study Guide - Second
Edition" and will learn it with labs. Anything else?

cheers Sven
