pfSense is web-gui bases so a lot of point-and-click stuff there. most of the support is on the docs/wiki.
i recommend it as well. -packet0 On Dec 2, 2011, at 6:15 PM, "Pranav Lal" <pranav.lal () gmail com> wrote:
Hi all, Thanks for your suggestions.1. I like the idea of the layer 1 hub. It will save us from playing with bridging connections etc.2. As for what my friend wants to do: (1) Log all traffic incoming and outgoing from the exchange server.(2) If the messages sent by the exchange server exceeds a specified number, the message sending should be stopped until he can come and review it.Note: From what he told me, his server was not being used as an open relay. As for pfSense, how friendly is the interface? I have not had a chance to try it. My friend is an above average windows user. He does not have a problem with the command line either given that he used to work on computers during the DOS days but I do not know if he has had any Linux / free BSD experience.Pranav--- ---------------------------------------------------------------------Securing Apache Web Server with thawte Digital CertificateIn this guide we examine the importance of Apache-SSL and who needs an SSL certificate.
