I consider this to be a problem, security at best. Problem is with Blackberry 8330, personal, and Verizon. I had 2 applications just "appear" on my phone. Facebook and Blackberry App World. As per Verizon rep, they said that the applications can be removed using Desktop Manager which I tried but does not list those applications. After much Google researching, I found that these are part of "Service Book" which can deleted from but after next restart or about an hour later...the applications are again pushed and installed. As I stated to Verizon rep, I think that installing applications (pushing) to your phone without your consent is a problem. If there are updates to your phone, you at least have the option to install or not. But just pushing applications to your phone without you agreeing or not have the ability to remove them is very concerning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Securing Apache Web Server with thawte Digital Certificate In this guide we examine the importance of Apache-SSL and who needs an SSL certificate.
