Hi all, My environment is that there are a number of the network equipments, from McAfee IPS, SIG appliance, Junipter SSG firewall, Cisco firewall, cisco/3com/H3c switch and plenty number of the web application for both internal and external. It is hard for me to monitor all of these equipments and even review the log generated by them. I want to identify the potentail application/tools that can help to monitor the basic information such as the host availability, CPU/Memory/Disk usage for servers and generate the log file. These log file can be archieved at the centrailized local. This is preferred to a dashboard for centralized monitoring. Hi Eric Could you be a little more specific about 'what' you are going to be monitoring? Are you worried about systems crashing, not being available, network slowness, access times...? As big as we are, with all the millions of dollars of network monitoring software we have, our first line operators use IPCheck (http://www.paessler.com/ipcheck) shh don't tell anyone :-) Cheers Paul -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of Eric Ong Sent: lundi, 18. janvier 2010 15:50 To: security-basics Subject: Network Monitoring Software Dear all, I am currently looking for the network monitoring software for a mid-size company, which around 300 PCs and 40 Servers.
