Hello Sumeet, To give a simple answer : yes, there will be traces. To give a not so simple answer : it depends on how you delete. Having a view at how operating systems manage low-layer functions such as file open and mount I/O devices you will see that it always leave a trace. -- Best regards, Adam Pal Sunday, October 5, 2008, 7:04:52 AM, you wrote: <==============Original message text=============== SN> Hi, SN> Can anyone tell me that if I store all my office files on the USB drive and SN> programs on the Desktop, will there be any traces of the files on the SN> desktop hdd even if I am opening files on the USB and saving them there SN> Regards <===========End of original message text===========
