These pc's are running NO protection whatsoever. i think you are right thinking the router doesn't forward the traffic. i'm going to check the router config again to see if i can change something about that behaviour. thanx already for the replies! brabo. If these 3 PC's are running Windows and default Win Firewall is enabled, then no you won't see them. Unless you enable ICMP echo in the Firewall ruleset. Or if your router has a built in firewall and is set to not forward certain types of traffic you could get the same results. Try Nmap'ing from one of the 3 PC's to the other two see if you get a response.
