Actually Brian,

Cisco's self-study series for CCSP is still the standard. I highly recommend
it, as I used it exclusively in late 2005 to prepare for the CCSP. Since
then, some of the CCSP requirements have changed towards ASA, which is
really enhanced-PIX, however, the material is still pretty good in
comparison to some of the junk on the market.

I'm sure this topic has been discussed before but I'm finally getting around
to looking at upgrading my Cisco cert. Reading the reviews of the various
self-study guide on amazon.com I have absolutely no idea where to look. I'm
not interested in taking a class (time, money,
etc.) and have depended on Cisco Press books before - its sad to see they're
not up to par anymore.

So, suggestions from the CCSPs on the list?
