See the vendor sites. Most of them show a load balancing config, using only one manufacturer's gear, but it works fine with multiple. Just avoid having a situation where you have to keep state between two firewalls, (high availablitiy - or going out one and coming back in the other) - then you need same firewalls usually, - see G2 site for diagrams. With the number on connections you listed, it also leads to thinking you are needing multi - gig throughput. = expensive.

Good luck. HAL

Subject: Firewall load balacing switches

Hello list,

I'm looking for a solution that can balance the network load on two
different firewalls.

It appears that cisco 6500 switch with csm module can do this but it's
pretty expensive.
Do you know of other manufacturers that can provide load balancing
switches and that can support 500000 concurrent sessions ?

thanks
