Generally you would NEVER want to put any computer that you consider sensitive or high security on the public internet.

if those computers really require public internet access you may need reconsider why a high security computer needs 
that access because essentially once its on the internet you might as well consider all that data as public knowledge.

you should never give someone a entrance or attack vector to your secured network for any reason, it defeats the whole 
purpose.
