I am a graduate of the MSIA 2005 class. My experience in the program was above and beyond what I ever imagined. The professors are top-notch, widely-renown throughout the infosec field, and some of the best with whom I've ever worked. I have taken years of graduate classes in various fields over the years, and these classes were some of the best I've ever taken. My time and efforts were well worth the end result. I'm not going to tell you it is an easy program. It takes a lot of effort, time and dedication to be successful in the program. If you're truly vested in becoming an information security specialist through this degree, you've basically got to be ready and willing to dedicate 2 years of your life to this study. You also have to be willing and able to put the knowledge you gain throughout the program into practice in your current position. Right after I graduated with my MSIA, I was deluged with offers for interviews with various organizations...not only in the information security field, but in other IT fields that also contain various components of information security as well. I've been promoted twice over the past year and my income has increased by $20,000. I've been courted by NSA and other government agencies as well as by those in the corporate world. Was it worth the cost? You do the math! :-) -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of Patrick Wade Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 4:19 PM To: 'security-basics' Subject: Norwich MSIA Hi All, Does anyone have experience with the online MSIA degree that I see advertised here all the time?
