Wi-fi - approaching customers.

Thanks to all who replied. The upshot of it all is really that there were no ideas that could actually be implemented save one I had already thought of. I had hoped to find something better, though. I am going to print a flyer (already worked out the words) and approach places, specifically targeting the areas where wi-fi is without going on a "blanket market" campaign, uselessly delivering wi-fi to places that don't have it. The exception to this is that it would look somewhat suspicious if one business got a flyer and asked the business next door if they did and that one hadn't. So, I am going to give out flyers either side just to be on the safe side. The flyer? Well, I wrote and rewrote it but I decided that impact was needed. So, I told people, in two lines, how it is good and then asked them if theirs is SAFE. After that, I pointed out what COULD happen if theirs isn't "safe" using IMPACT. The whole flyer is 9 lines long though interspersed with my logo and spaced with thought and care. 2 of the lines are how to contact me. Why do it that way? I used to be in sales a long time back and I learned how people think in this regard. Look at the times you grab junk mail from your letterbox and of the times you were interested, what interested you? In my case it was the first few lines. If it didn't grab me, it ended up filed in the circular file! That "grab them quickly" approach has worked for me when in sales all those years ago and worked really very well. So, if you who are reading this have been going through what I have, knowing that there is a lot of work to be had about but trying to approach it without being branded a criminal, this is MY answer to it. I don't say it is a fabulous answer. I am just saying it is the only one I can think of that will work without me looking bad when all I am trying to do is make money out of fixing potential problems. If you make up your own flyer and want it looked at, feel free to email it to me and I will get back to you. Greg.
