The first thing that comes to mind is some sort of .REG file or GPO. I know they can be set to run at different levels through the task manager (I believe it where). Maybe you could setup one that the user could start. I know it's vague... unfortunately I can't remember the specifics. I'm just hoping to set you in the right direction. =) -- Peace. ~G On Fri, 19 Nov 2004 12:04:14 -0500, W W <crackd () gmail com> wrote:
All, I have looked everyone and have tried many things to allow a standard user the ability to change their IP address in Windows 2000 and have gotten no where. Any ideas? I have a traveling user who cannot use DHCP in some environments because they hand out static IP's. I do not want to give the user Admin rights on their box for obvious reasons. How can I allow them to change their IP address without giving them Admin rights? Thanks for your help. W
