If this is a purely Windows 2000/XP network you can disable NetBIOS over TCP (NBT) in the WINS tab of the TCP/IP properties of the NIC. There must be a DNS server available that the clients can register with in order for name resolutions to occur. If there are still Win 9x or Me clients however, disabling NBT will break NetBIOS name resolution. HTH Glen L. Bowes http://www.bowesit.com

The most important thing is to disable it internally ( inside the LAN) Any suggestions??? Taking in consideration that there is DHCP server for the clients ( If it can contribute in the Solution) Best Regards, Kareem Mahgoub -------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Ethical Hacking at the InfoSec Institute.
