Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Way informative.
Regarding the above link, I think my laptop does all that ! lol, and even more! lol
even cheaper too! hehe. I didn't read "RFMON detection" or anything that leads me to
believe it's a "feature", other than it being in monitor mode itself. I did only skim 
though, the word "hacker/rouge" used to many times kinda killed it for 
me (yet another add floating on fear...just my silly opinion though).
 

Has anyone here used these products? I'm curious how it compares to a wicked laptop/drone. I do
realize some of the "features" are beyond the wicked laptop (PoE). Hey, Kinda neat idea, use old pcs for
kismet drones around the office. Hmmm, those old computers make good smoothwalls AND "wireless hacker" 
detectors too! lol. These days, a knowledgable security geek has alot of OSrc tools to use on their home
brew "rouge" detectors ;)...
