Thanks everyone for their input on this subject. The compiled wrapper script is a great sounding workaround except....as Simon points out, it would be easy for a relatively IT savvy user to save the compiled exe and put it on his home machine, and then run a debugger on it to locate the decrypted admin password!! Not sure if any of our users have that capability judging on day to day events!! BUT have decided we will just have to bite the bullet and buy commercial defrag software that allows a normal user to defragment their machine.
