Hi, We use the HP IP KVM switches for much the same reasons you are thinking of using them. I'm going to agree with Steve that the mouse tracking is horrible but as long as you also have terminal services running this is a great alternative to walking to the server room. cheers, Jacques ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brasha" <brahsha () yahoo com> To: <security-basics () securityfocus com> Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2004 2:51 AM Subject: IP KVM switches
Hello, We have few core application servers protected by firewall and with sufficient physical security. Due to space constraints system administrators' workspace is being relocated to a distant building. Management wants to use HP "IP KVM" switches to manage the application servers remotely. I would like to know the experiences of the user community and security issues related to "IP KVM" switches. Kudos Brahsha. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
