I'm interested in using some type of secure replacement for FTP, such

Also, if there is a way to get SSHD running (Cygin?), is there a way
to OpenSSH can be compiled using Cygwin. I think Cygwin is free, OpenSSH definately is. Don't know if it ties in with Active Directory/SAM though...
set it up to use Windows 2000 Authentication, and allow every user access to a "home" directory, which in my case I would want to be their sub-directory in my Inetpub directory.
SSH Communication Security Inc offers a nice server that can use the Windows password database. http://www.ssh.com This one isn't free, but you can get a free trial copy. F-Secure I think also makes a server for Windows, it won't be free. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- __o Bradley Arlt Security Team Lead _ \<_ arlt () cpsc ucalgary ca University Of Calgary (_)/(_) Joyously Canadian Computer Science ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- Captus Networks Are you prepared for the next Sobig & Blaster? - Instantly Stop DoS/DDoS Attacks, Worms & Port Scans - Precisely Define and Implement Network Security - Automatically Control P2P, IM and Spam Traffic FIND OUT NOW - FREE Vulnerability Assessment Toolkit http://www.captusnetworks.com/ads/42.htm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
