another vote for Yum... much lighter than apt4rpm too and does a better job
of determining dependencies.

Look for YUM (http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/).  This is quickly
becoming
the new standard for auto-updating Linux distributions.  It works almost
like
an overlay on top of your existing package management system (RPM in your
case).  It's quite good, and fairly easy to use.
