Paul, I haven't had this problem before, but I would have to at least guess that the problem is with the wireless router. Maybe it is filtering traffic or causing some other problem. If you haven't done so already, try connecting the pc directly to the dsl and see if that makes a difference or forward all ports to the computer connected to the router. Hope this helps.
