Re: Personal Firewall Recommendations

I like Kerio PF a lot. It has known volnurability (remote buffer overflow) but there is an easy workaround.

It is easy to use, flexible, and free. It checks file integrity (by MD5sum). I like it a lot. It can be setup on a very
high level of packet filtering... I have also found a lot of recomendation from the resource point of view, which means
it takes less resources to run kerio to run zone-alarm.

Good luck -- Tomas

I've been installing a new system for a friend, and am wondering what
personal firewalls might be recommended for a home system running
Windows 2000 on a T1 line. Anyone have a recommendation other than
ZoneAlarm?

Thanks.
