There is a "generic" book titled "Hacking Exposed" that may be useful. A good, if dated book, is "The Cuckoo's Egg," which describes a hacker and the efforts to track him down. I found the case studies in Hacking Linux Exposed very interesting and I am looking to learn anything from those type of stories. Anything from the very simple to the complex would be appreciated.
