There hasn't been any real updates to this dissector since 2013
(https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9244). You're welcome to contribute
(https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsdg_html_chunked/ChSrcContribute.html) by submitting patches through Gerrit
(https://wiki.wireshark.org/Development/SubmittingPatches). Because the specification is not free, there's a
potentially much smaller group of developers that can work on it.

Subject: [Wireshark-dev] Wave Short Message Protocol : IEEE P1609.3 Errors

Guys,I am working with the IPWave group at the IETF working on Wireless communications in cars. We have a WS trace
using Wave Short Message Protocol : IEEE P1609.3.I suspect the dissector has not been updated for this as we are
getting "Malformed Packet".Is there anyone working on this? The standard is here:
https://standards.ieee.org/findstds/standard/1609.3-2016.htmlThanks,Nalini ElkinsCEO and FounderInside Products,
