Can we, and should we, use Qt rather than PortAudio? (was Re: Help needed building portaudio for windows)

Does Qt provide portable audio APIs sufficient to replace PortAudio, e.g. the QAudioOutput class: http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qaudiooutput.html (introduced in 4.6), and are they sufficiently cross-platform (Windows, OS X, and at least one audio framework for the twisty little maze of UN*X flavors, including various Linux distributions, and their desktop environments, all different, that make up the rest of our platforms)? If so, should we do so? ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <wireshark-dev () wireshark org> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:wireshark-dev-request () wireshark org?subject=unsubscribe
