Is it possible to shiff the USB traffic on OSX using Wireshark?

No.

It might be possible to, for example, determine what mechanisms the usbtracer program:

        http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#qa/qa1370/_index.html

uses and add support for capturing USB requests to libpcap, in which case Wireshark would be able to capture that
traffic if linked with that version of Wireshark. (That version wouldn't be the one that comes with existing versions
of Mac OS X, so you'd either have to wait for some future version of Mac OS X to pick up that version of libpcap or
build it yourself.)
