I am working on the Ubuntu 10.10 and set the wireless adapter mode into monitor, and start the wireshark under root. But, as the user guide suggest, in the capture option, I should be able to choose the second entry, capture packets in monitor mode. However, it is not possible on my laptop. I cannot put a mark in the square.
What does the "Wireshark" tab, in the window that pops up if you select "About..." in the Help menu, say about libpcap, both in the "Compiled" section and the "Running" section? What is the name of the interface on which you're trying to capture in monitor mode? ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-users mailing list <wireshark-users () wireshark org> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-users Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-users mailto:wireshark-users-request () wireshark org?subject=unsubscribe
