Wireshark 1.2.9 or Wireshark 1.4.0rc1 install problems

When I try to install either Wireshark 1.2.9 or Wireshark 1.4.0rc1 on Windows 7 Home Premium, after the installation 
the "Program Compatibility Assistant" launches. The program has installed fine & works OK, any idea why the "Program 
Compatibility Assistant" launches?
