Hi,

The problem has already been fixed. Please use one
of the latest Wireshark versions: 1.0.14, 1.2.9 or 1.4.0rc1.

More information available in ticket #4815:

 * Fedora 13: wireshark fails to build (linking problem)
    https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4815

Regards,
jpo

PS - You shouldn't compile as root.

switch to root account and issue ./configure,and then some error occur .

[root@localhost wireshark-1.2.8]# ./configure
--[SNIP]--
/usr/bin/ld: gtk/libui.a(sctp_byte_graph_dlg.o): undefined reference to
symbol 'ceil@@GLIBC_2.2.5'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'ceil@@GLIBC_2.2.5' is defined in DSO
/lib64/libm.so.6 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib64/libm.so.6: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/oucanrong/wireshark-1.2.8'
make: *** [all] error 2
