Thanks for all of the information about the headers and reporting of the information between the different OSs. I was not aware of it.
There could well be a bug in the OS X driver for your network adapter, so that it supplies a bogus data rate for transmitted frames. What version of OS X is this, and what type of AirPort card does it have? (Apple menu -> About This Mac -> "More Info...", and there should be something called "AirPort Card" under "Network".)
This could be an interesting scenario, that you may choose to not help me with, but it's a hackintosh. It's 10.6.1 and I'm using an Atheros 5212 card. I can help dig up some more information about the driver if you give me some pointers for it. Thanks!
