I want to know if I can capture the PLCP header using wireshark. If yes then what's the set up I am suppose to use. I am not using AirPcap. Also what are the ways one can differentiate between different versions of 802.11 from the packets captured using wireshark in monitor mode.
As far as I know there's no way to view the PLCP directly in Wireshark. If your environment supports a metainformation header like PPI or Radiotap you can get at some of the PLCP indirectly, such as the data rate and modulation. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-users mailing list <wireshark-users () wireshark org> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-users Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-users mailto:wireshark-users-request () wireshark org?subject=unsubscribe
