Sorry, it could be interesting article if author would not used any 
sentences like: "By allowing command-line JVM parameters, Java provides a 
significantly more flexible and configurable environment, without conflicts 
among multiple JVM installations."
This is very arguable, i could say on this on, but you can use in .NET WMI 
and integrate it with whole configuration infrastructure like SMS, AD or any 
other related admin product enabling to configure thausands of computers 
from one place easily.

Ok, but stop this trash and try to share knowledge (between Java, .NET or 
anything else) and dont start flameware even on new year. There are a lot of 
wars, dont start some new ones and useless.
