How to secure web resource in WebSphere 3.5?

Hi,

I am using IBM WebSphere 3.5 application server Advanced Edition.
I have lots of xml, pdf files under web directory and pdf files are really in huge sizes. I want to secure these 
resources from unauthorized users and do not want to move my xml and pdf files out of my web directory. Is there a way 
to secure these resources using WebSphere Application server security feature?
