how about getting a dvi connected monitor and sniffing the pics without loss
from the cable (some diy work required, but i feel that's exactly
the thing we want you to spend your time on in the next couple of months
instead of polluting mailinglists like this)

course you could also hook into windows gdi and grab the data
from there but that's not as much fun

you could also use that magic printscr key and paste the clipboard into
photoshop or whatever, but that would be cheating and you would not experience
the thrill of having "hacked" something

executive summary: yes, BUT WHY?
