This is debateable, but more importantly, it is an dangerous meme. If you repeat it enough, the uninformed may easily get the impression that this whole computer security business is hopeless, therefore why bother with any of it? Of course, all of us on this list know that such an impression would be inaccurate -- there is a lot that can be done to reduce the risk, and it is worth doing -- but I consider it important to avoid fostering this potential misunderstanding.
