Konqueror crashes or long URLs for every single protocol handler. I already filed a bug report (post 2.2 release), attached is a script for automated testing each protocol. BTW, has anyone LOOKED at the protocols available as urls in KDE/Konq? You can redirect someone from a web page to a nfs share, to check their email on a pop3 server, to mount a samba share, all sorts of crap... It makes IE seem tame by comparison. While trying to play with my java trollftpd code I noted that Konqueror likes to crash when I am double clicking on the long file names that I made in /tmp. KDE did fix an issue I discovered prior with long filenames in KFM perhaps this is a similar bug rearing its head again? I have attached rapeme.tar which places a very long directory structure in /tmp. Open Konqueror and start double clicking... eventually KDE goes boom anyone know why? Here are my OS specs.
