Ahhhh, you're absolutely right. After dragging the
mouse pointer pixel by pixel back and forth I
finally saw it change into a hand over a completely
blank area of the message, indicating a link to
"mailbox:displayattachments".

Non-existent problem solved; I feel safe(r) again :)
